2008 will be the start of additional exotic fruits reaching quantities that make wholesaling them feasible. The rambutan has been in the marketplace for a few years now and we will also have limited quantities of longan, durian and a small but steady supply of abiu. The pulasan is a very rare fruit tree that is slow-growing and challenging to bring into production. There will not be a lot of this fruit but enough to wholesale to select customers.
There is, of course, one more fruit that we are producing but in very small quantities and all of it is sold out for the foreseeable future; the mangosteen. It will take many years before we can reliably produce enough to be able to sell to the local market. Please do not ask for this fruit, I will make no exceptions.
There have been many requests for tours and I must insist that we are not set up for this. This is a working commercial farm, the terrain is quite rough, the roads are mostly dirt or mud and not easily walked even during the dry season. During the harvest season when there is fruit, we are very busy, there is rain and the farm can be hazardous. The dirt roads are all but impassible during the rainy season. Maybe some year I will be able to improve the road situation to enable visitors but not yet. I am sorry about this.
